Touché Fencing Club
make your heart beat faster!
Baldip started fencing at the age of 10 and at 17 was one of the first Indian fencers to compete with the Great Britain Under 20 squad at home and as an international. Together with his wife Hilary they set up Touché Fencing Club in January 2000.
Baldip is a registered British Fencing Coach and holds a Level 4 qualification in Foil, Épée and Sabre. He coaches beginners and elite fencers, who either fence socially or go on to fence at international level. TFC fencers have repre- sented GB at Cadet and Junior levels in Foil and Épée with a TFC Épéeist winng Gold at the U18 British Youth Champion- ships, two years in succession narrowly missing Gold in the British Senior Épée Champion- ships.
In 2010, Baldip started coaching Wheelchair Fencers in the run up to the London 2012 Paralymics Games. TFC was one of the very first clubs to hold integrated training sessions for both wheelchair fencers and able-bodied fencers leading to the appointment of Baldip as second Coach to the British Disable Fencing Association and to the GB Squad at London 2012 Paralympics.
Baldip then went on to coach Wheelchair Fencers to World number 1 in Épée, coach at the Rio 2016 Paralympics and recently a double Gold medallist at the World Championships 2017.
Baldip say’s “If you want to achieve your goals in Fencing and are willing to put in the hard work, then I will work twice as hard to make sure you achieve those goals”.
